Not Much to Print Today, Can't Find Nothing Bad to Say

I always love waking up to good news. I found out The Cougar Book and Coming Together: Into the Light are both finalists for EPIC's E-book Awards. The books are in the same category, so they will be competing against each other. But, I'm proud to be in both of them and hope they both win!!

I'll keep you posted as I found out the results.

I'm Looking To The Sun, More Power For Everyone

Isn't it a lovely picture? This sunset is at Yulara, Norther Territory, in Australia. Behind us, is the monolith, Uluru. While everyone else was watching the gorgeous red rock change colors in the lowering sun, my husband turned around and noticed the most exquisite sky. He snapped this photo, which we have framed in our living room.

Tourism Australia recently had a contest to submit your best Australian picture. The picture you see above is one of the Top 20 finalists for the grand prize, which is a $10,000 trip to the land Down Under. So, if you'd like to help the cause and help send us away, please go right here and vote. We really appreciate it.

Who knows? If we win, we just might bring you back a souvenir!!

Back To Life, Back To The Present Time

What a week it was! I had an amazing time "on the road" reading at the Erotic Literary Salon and In the Flesh. Both nights were filled with sexy words and fabulous people and I'm so happy to be a part of both events. In the Flesh kicked much ass and meeting Lana Fox, Dusty Horn, Velvet Moore, Graydancer, Laura Boyd, Beth Raymer, and Daniel Allen Cox was truly a privilege. Pictures from the night are up right here and I'll post the video as soon as it is available. I want to thank Susana and Rachel for their hospitality and for hosting such awesome nights. It was also a huge pleasure to walk around a beautiful, crisp fall day in NYC.

After my "tour", I got to spend a little time with the family, and have a relaxing weekend. It looks to be a busy week, as I have a few short stories I want to finish before the end of the month. I'm still trying to decide if I want to participate in NaNoWriMo, but I am leaning that way. I have had so much fun participating in the past, and it just seems like the right time to tackle a 50,000 novel in 30 days. I'm brainstorming ideas and just might give it a go. I'll keep you posted on my progress. The lovely Shanna Germain is already committed to NaNo, and has a cool project to go along with it. Go here for all the details.

There is more good news on the way, but that will have to wait just a bit longer. Man Candy should hold you over. I know it always works for me.

I Have To Pack My Things And Go

Things have been cropping up fast and furious these days, and I finally had a few days to catch my breath and get some quality down time this weekend. I got to update the blog a bit, so check out the right sidebar for all the latest on where my stories are ending up.

I'm also very excited to be going out on the road this week. This might be the closest I ever get to going on tour, and I'm most certainly going to enjoy it. I'm doing a reading at the fabulous Erotic Literary Salon in Philly on Tuesday night. Then, Thursday, I'll be reading at the third to last In The Flesh, hosted by the lovely Rachel Kramer Bussel. In NYC, I'll be reading my story, Rise and Shine from Orgasmic. I'm not 100% on what I'm reading in Philly, but most likely it will include my story, Three Stops Away, from the new collection by Rachel entitled Smooth. The collection has gotten great reviews, but this one in particular caught my eye, for obvious reasons.

The latest cornucopia of erotic stories edited by Rachel Bussel is one of her best yet! How she gets the time to publish so many first-rate books, as well as writing some of the best sex stories around, is a mystery, but her fans will be delighted with this 'celebration of the body beautiful.' All 19 stories are steaming hot, but Heidi Champa's "Three stops away" and Jennifer Peters's "Ink"--among other standouts--set new standards for literate erotica.

So, I'm going to be away from the computer for most of the week, but I'll be checking in. So feel free to stop by and comment, or just ogle the Man Candy. *Sigh.* I already miss summer, don't you?

Just A Little Something to Break The Monotony

My story, After the Happily Ever After, just got a nice mention in a great review of Alison's Wonderland. Check out the mention here, and the first part here. You may now resume your day.

If You're Listening (Whoa oh oh oh oh oh), Sing it Back

Once again, I have fallen down on the job with the Man Candy Monday. But, in my defense . . . actually I don't have one. Other than the fact that no one is really reading my blog anymore, so I've been kind of lax with putting up new posts.

It's not for lack of news, of which there is plenty. I guess I've just been feeling unmotivated knowing that the words I'm writing here are going largely unseen. Also, this is not a plea for more readers, although more readers would be nice. It is just a statement of fact.

Despite those feelings, as I stated above there is some good news to report, so I might as well share it. My story, The Number 91, has been accepted into the Best Lesbian Erotica 2011. It is edited by Kathleen Warnock and guest edited by the hilarious Lea DeLaria and I'm honored to be a part of it.

But, the big news is, I'm going out on the road next week. I'll be the featured reader for the second time at the Erotic Literary Salon in Philly on Tuesday, the 19th. Then, I'll be wisking my way to the Big Apple to participate in one of the last remaining In the Flesh readings on Thursday the 21st, with the lovely Neve Black, Lana Fox and many more. It is hosted by the wonderful Rachel Kramer Bussel. This is my second time reading at In the Flesh and I'm happy to be returning for one of the last gatherings at Happy Ending Lounge.

So, if you're going to be around those places at either of those times, come check it out. You won't be sorry.

And This Life's Just a Waste of Our Time

Time seems to be flying by so quickly these days. The fact that it is October and autumn is in full swing is unfathomable. I remember just a few weeks ago sweating in the heat and wishing for days like this. The cool breeze this weekend was amazing.

It's hard not to feel like I'm wasting time as well. Sometimes, I feel like life is passing me by, but I don't know what to do about it. Maybe I'm in a rut, I don't know. It could just be a general funk, I think it's too soon to tell.

In the meantime, the Man Candy will have to do it's job. It sure does make things better.

On a Page, On a Shirt, On The Back of My Hand

Happy October, everyone!! As promised, now that it is all healed up, I am posting a picture of my latest, spur of the moment tattoo. Done by Landon Lewis from Black Thorn Gallery in Mechanicsburg, PA at the Baltimore Tattoo Arts Convention on September 11th.
