This week looks to be a busy one. I've got so much to do, and time will be scarce. I'm trying to just do one thing at a time, but my multi-tasking brain doesn't always cooperate. Wish me luck. And, what better way to start a week like this than with some delicious Man Candy.

Traveled Down The Road And Back Again

I took a moment away from this beautiful day to get online, only to discover that Bea Arthur, one of my favorite Golden Girls has past away at 86. I adore the show, and am still a huge fan. She will be missed. I regret even more now not seeing her one woman show when I had the chance. Rest in Peace, Bea!

You Couldn't See That It Was Not That Way

Man, I'm so glad the semester is almost over. It started out so well, but lately, I just haven't been feeling my classes. My Freelance Writing class is pretty much over. The teacher offered us a chance to get published and score a free ride the rest of the way. I did that, and now I'm just playing out the string. My second class, Non Fiction, which has been my favorite class, has been irritating me lately.

It's not the work, or the professor, or the grades. It's my classmates. A few in particular. Much to my chagrin, my class is full of right-wingers and one student in particular who thinks he knows everything. In the beginning, I chalked it up to his age and lack of perspective. But, now, he's really just rubbing me the wrong way. I just want to turn in my portfolio, get my grade, and move on. I foolishly thought that a college campus might spark some intelligent discourse, but it has yet to come.

Other than that, I'm waiting and waiting for responses to my submissions. Keeping my fingers crossed for some good news. I can't wait for the weekend. I'm in need of some relaxation and some nice weather.

Someone's Changing Our Lives, I Know It Isn't Me

I'm getting closer to my goal. I got my memoir piece back in class on Tuesday, and I got a 97. So close to that 100% but time is running out. I fear the semester will end before I reach my elusive perfection. But, it was still nice to see that number circled so brightly on my paper. It was also cathartic to write about my life. My professor was again encouraging me to publish in the non-fiction world, and I'm beginning to consider it more and more. At this point, I rule nothing out.

It has been a rough couple of weeks. My husband found out last Monday that come June 30th, he will be out of a job, and then later that week, I got a rejection email for a project I was very much interested in being a part of. I hate to admit that it all knocked me straight on my ass, and even the cuteness of my dear niece in her Easter dress couldn't eradicate my funk. I'm slowly coming back, but sometimes I feel like my brain will explode from one more piece of depressing news.

So, I soldier on, trying to stay focused and trying to be creative with a severely cluttered mind.
