We'll Fall Asleep, So Deeply Out of Reach

I'm still recovering from my food coma, so I don't have much to say. I'll just leave the Man Candy to say it for me and get back to work.

I will stop for a moment and say that Best Lesbian Erotica 2011 is now available and features my story, The Number 91. Just in time for the holidays!!

To Say What Must Be Said, And Nothing Else Instead

Well, it is official. I am done my NaNoWriMo novel. I hit the 50K mark on Saturday, and finished the rest on Sunday. I'm still not sure if there is a real, honest to God novel in there, but I'm hoping to find that out after I give it a little room to breathe. But, there is a part of me that wants to start revisions right away. But, I'm resisting. I need a little distance, and I have a few things I have to finish up before the end of the month.

It was so much fun to participate in NaNo again. I'm very proud that I finished, and I'm hoping that this novel turns into something real. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Now, there are a few short stories that require my attention. Enjoy the Man Candy while I'm gone.

I'm Gonna Pitch Me A Tent

It's been a crazy week. NaNoWriMo is going well, up to 27k+ words. I'm still not sure if it will end up being something great, something good, or something at all. But, I'm determined to finish and hopefully it can be worked into a real life novel.

While I was relaxing this weekend, I stumbled upon something awesome. The lovely Violet Blue gave me an incredible mention on her blog while talking about Erotica for All, which recently featured my Author Profile. Take a look at both.

Lastly, Coming Together: By Hand is now out and features my story, A Stolen Moment. Buy some smut for a very good cause.

Back to work. Man Candy, give me strength.

Electric Shocks on Aching Bones

It's been a busy first week of NaNoWriMo. I'm up to 17,071 words and my hands are getting tired. But, I'm pressing on, and hopefully I will get all the way to 50,000 words.

In case you didn't notice the video on the sidebar, the video from In The Flesh in October is up and you can watch it right from the blog. Check it out and feel free to comment.

I'll post more later when my fingers can stand the strain. Until then, enjoy the Man Candy. Nick Youngquest. Yummy. (This one's for you, Robin!)

Today's The Day, We'll Say "I Do"

I just got word from the wonderful Alison Tyler that it is okay to mention that my story, Speak Now, is included in her upcoming Harlequin collection, With This Ring, I Thee Bed. The cover is gorgeous and I can't wait to see the Table of Contents. Stay tuned because as soon as I have it, you'll know.

What Can Make Good of The Bad That's Been Done?

It is so hard to believe that it is November already. It seems like yesterday we were sweating through the heat and humidity, praying for cooler days. Now, they are here, but we are a mere two months away from Christmas. Insane.

I spent the last weekend of October having as much fun as humanly possible. Friday, I got to have a fabulous lunch with Jeremy Edwards and Craig Sorensen. There was good food and good conversation, and it was lovely to see them both again. Over the weekend, I also found out that my story, Not Just a Myth, will be included in Rachel Kramer Bussel's upcoming anthology, Gotta Have It: 69 Stories of Sudden Sex. It comes out in March and looks to be an absolutely amazing collection of stories.

On Saturday, Anthony and I decided we needed a little more sanity in our lives, so we drove to suburban Maryland, crammed ourselves into the Metro and made our way through the throngs of people to participate in the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear. The National Mall was packed full of people of all kinds, with crazy signs and costumes, all there to hear the message and some pretty good music as well. It wasn't always easy to hear or see, due to the tremendous volume of people, but we did our best to get within earshot of the stage.

Much has been made of what it all meant, and if there really was any purpose at all to the rally. All I knew was that I felt like I wanted to be there, to be a small part of trying to stem the tide of crazy that seems to be filling our political process. I continue to pray that extreme views and intolerance don't get a foothold in our congress and I urge all of you to vote on Tuesday to help keep those people from dialing back the progress that has been made in this country.

Enough of my soapbox, I've got to get back to writing. It's NaNoWriMo time again, and I'm participating. So is Shanna and if you haven't checked out her awesome idea/blog, please do so right here. Wish me luck, as I press those keys for hours on end in the hopes of reaching the elusive 50,000 word goal in 30 days. Maybe some Man Candy will spur me on. Hope it works for you too!
