Denk' an Dich und lass' ihn fliegen

I'm sorry I've been M.I.A this week with my blog posts. But, I have a good excuse. Okay, so maybe not a good excuse, but an excuse none the less. I've been obsessed. I stumbled across some wonderful German daytime television on YouTube, and I've spent a large amount of time catching myself up to date on the love affair of Christian and Ollie. If you are not familiar, Christian and Ollie are characters on a soap opera called Verbotene Liebe, or Forbidden Love. It turns out, it is a remake of an Australian soap called Sons and Daughters. How fitting. I don't know much about the rest of the show, but they are by far the cutest couple I've ever come across on television.

The gay story line on US soaps is still something of a novelty, but not in Germany. These boys have been causing a sensation since 2007 and are still going strong. There's plenty of PDA and is really unspeakably hot.

You can follow along here, thanks to a very kind, very dedicated fan who translates the whole shebang so we English speakers can read along. But, be forewarned. Once you start, you won't be able to stop. Not that you'd want to. Just to get you started, I've included a video to give you a taste. Now that I'm caught up, I've got some work to finish. Viel Spaß!

Heidi,
You crack me up! Of course you found a German soap opera that's a remake of an Australian soap. Well of course! How simple was that? LOL!

It is really good. I mean, cheesy like any soap, but so adorable.

I had no idea it was a remake until I wiki'd it.

What can I say, it's a small world after all.
