A Better Attitude, A Futuristic Mood

The WIP is no longer in progress, because it is DONE!!!! I'm so excited to have completed the story, 25k words strong. I'm now in the editing process and getting ready to send it out into the interwebs, hoping it finds a good home.

I think all this good stuff calls for a cocktail. Wait, I mean, Cocktale!! That's right, I have two more stories appearing in the fabulous Xcite E-book series Cocktales. This time, my story, Screaming in Silence, is in the Cocktales: Screaming Orgasm collection and my story, The Last Ride, is in the Cocktales: Temptation collection. They join my other story, Room 555, in the Cocktales: Between the Sheets. These collections are resonably priced, and full of wonderful stories by wonderful writers such as Sommer Marsden, Rachel Kramer Bussel, Kay Jaybee, Charlotte Stein and Elizabeth Coldwell. How can you refuse? Do something nice for yourself before the long holiday weekend.

Now, to finish my synopsis and send my story away. Wish me luck!

And Laugh When You Said There is No Such Thing As Sin

It has already been a busy week, and it's only Wednesday. My tired fingers are aching but I must keep going. The word count is growing as the deadline gets closer, but I'm feeling very confident. And, I think the story is going great!

In other news, Girl Crush and Please Ma'am are now both available from Amazon. Just click the links on my slideshow in the right margin and buy away! Both books look amazing and with the line-ups of these books, they should be hot, hot, hot!!! I can't wait to get my hands on my copies and dive in.

Speaking of Girl Crush, today, you can read an interview with me and an excerpt from my story, Cut and Dry, right here on the Girl Crush website. I'm so happy to be a part of this collection and I hope you all run out and get yourself a copy.

Back to work. . . . the end is near!

Now I'm Running Down the Road, Trying to Stay Up

Great weekend. Flat out great weekend. I got to spend a lot of quality time with the family, got to almost 10k on my work-in-progress, The Cats won and received a nice present from my niece. It's a mug that says, "My aunt is the coolest." Hey, if a (nearly) three year old thinks so, I must be doing something right.

Too much to do right now. But, hopefully I'll have more to say later this week. Bask in the Man Candy, I know I will.

Forgive Me If I Stutter, From All Of The Clutter In My Head

I'm knee deep in my new WIP, but I wanted to take a moment and just catch my breath. This new project has been a bit tough for me, my first foray into a novella length piece. It is a little tougher than I anticipated, but I think, so far, it's going pretty well. I'm trying to keep it simple, and not over think and over edit, as I sometimes do. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Made some decent money at our yard sale this weekend, and was once again reminded that the sun and I just don't get along. My face is fading to a nice, rosy pink, but it still hurts to crinkle up my forehead. Sunscreen, how did I forget that?

My man candy should be okay though, he looks to be a tanner.

I Can Remember Where I Come From

I hope everyone had a good weekend and that all the mothers out there had a relaxing day. I didn't get to see my mom, but she was well taken care of by my wonderful siblings. We had a lovely chat between my sister's brunch and my brother's dinner. My mother is a wonderful lady and I'm so honored to be her daughter. Mary Jane, you're my hero. I'd also like to give a shout out to my fabulous mother-in-law. She is one of my biggest fans, and will proudly tell anyone who will listen that her daughter-in-law writes smutty stories. Susan, you rock!!

Also, today is the day that the Necking Anthology from Dreamspinner Press comes out today. It is available in both print and e-book, and I think it's pretty amazing. My story, Breaking the Habit, is included and I'm thrilled!

It was a great weekend, and I'm ready to tackle my next big project, now that the preliminaries have been taken care of. Wish me luck and enjoy the Man Candy.

I'm In Pieces, Bits and Pieces

Just a few little things for today. My story, Kiss the Bride is featured on the Erotic Woman today. It's a classic, but if you haven't checked it out, now's your chance.

Also, Filament Magazine Readers' Choice awards close on May 9th. Feel free to vote right here, even if it's not for me as your favorite story. You have two of mine to choose from, One Night Only and Cold Turkey. No pressure of course, but if you liked them, let Filament know.

If you haven't had the chance to hear my wonderful podcast interview with Dr. Dick, part 1 and part 2 are now live and available for download at iTunes. Apparently, it's been pretty popular and I'm completely overwhelmed by the response.

My contributor copies of Please, Sir arrived yesterday, and it looks absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait to dive into it. If you haven't gotten it yet, what are you waiting for? Check out the virtual book tour and get a taste.

Anywho, back to work. Stay tuned for more news and happenings coming very soon.

I'm Done With This, I'm Counting To Ten

I. Am. Done. Yes, that is right, people. My goals have been met, my stories have been written and just need a few tweaks before they get sent out. I hope that my trials and tribulations here will give procrastinators everywhere hope. If I can do it, you can do it. Sure you can . . .well, maybe tomorrow. (ha ha)

Now that these stories are done, I'm ready to start my new project. It is a novella and I can't wait to get started. I'll keep you posted on my progress and procrastination, as always.

Thanks to everyone who offered me support during this time, and to everyone who believed in me. I couldn't have done it without you. Now, who's got the beer?
